SERC Annual Conference 2017

The SERC Annual Conference will take place this year at the London School of Economics on 18-19 May.

Submissions are invited now for papers to be presented in the PhD / young researcher sessions. Topics should broadly reflect SERC’s research agenda which includes regional and urban economics, urbanisation in developing countries and spatial policy evaluation. See www.spatialeconomics.ac.uk for details of the centre’s current research programmes.

Successful applicants will be invited to attend both days of the conference. Financial support for authors of those papers selected for presentation (covering economy travel and budget hotel up to a maximum to be agreed case by case) will be provided by SERC.

The choice of papers will be based on 500 word abstracts, which should be sent via email by 1st March to Jo Cantlay at the Centre [serc@lse.ac.uk], together with information about the author’s affiliations, status and date of PhD submission (if awarded in the last three years). Each presenter may also be expected to serve as a discussant. Authors will be notified of decisions by 17th April. If your paper is accepted, deadline for full paper submissions is 30th April.

If you require further information, please contact C.K Tang (C.K.Tang@lse.ac.uk)
